In high school I was in a rock 'n roll band with my best friends called Frontline. We practiced in my garage on Saturday mornings until a neighbor made a tape recording of the volume level in each room of his house and left it in our mailbox. We moved to a member's attic room.We played talent shows, high school and church events. Items won at talent shows included a Super Nintendo, a gi and karate lessons.
We also wrote and recorded our own music, which brings me to the purpose of this post. I decided it was high time to publicly embarrass myself by posting one of Frontline's recordings on this blog. It just seems like it needs to be done, so we can all bask in the glory and tragedy of high school.
So here for your enjoyment is "Carson Daly" by Frontline - a celebration of the undying truth that love conquers all.

very fun and 90's topical!
ReplyDelete#$&@ man! I want my royalties! That is pretty embarrassing - thanks for including me your pilgrimage of public humiliation. I guess you didn't name names though did you. That really takes me back. I wish we had kept that tape from your parents neighbor. Do you have any of the other recordings we did? I have to tell you though, I am still proud of that guitar solo!
ReplyDeleteDude, check's in the mail. And I have the tape from the neighbor. And all our recordings. And you should be dang proud of that guitar solo, it's amazing.
ReplyDeleteYou have to make me copies of all that stuff. I don't have a single one.
ReplyDeletedude that was awesome! that bass player was going to town at the beginning. now I really want to hear some essentials...
ReplyDeleteI believe I have copies of all your songs on my old computer. Secret groupie I guess.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Costa. I'll think about posting some Essentials stuff. It just seems too soon. With Frontline I've got the "it was high school!" claim to hide behind.
ReplyDeleteEmma, wow, thanks. It seems you have more of our recordings than any of the former members do besides me.
This makes me so happy! We came to your concert in John's Creek. Front line for life!
