What is wrong with this party? This is the woman who recently said the "department of law" would protect her from ethics investigations if she was president. Who didn't know Africa was a continent, not a country. Who said "Sitting here in these chairs that I’m going to be proposing but in working with these governors who again on the front lines are forced to and it’s our privileged obligation to find solutions to the challenges facing our own states every day being held accountable, not being just one of many just casting votes or voting present every once in a while, we don’t get away with that." Who likened her quitting the governorship to being a point guard in a basketball game, a fish who doesn't go with the flow (as dead fish do), and a maverick who resists "politics as usual."
Are you kidding me?
I believe in conservatism. I believe conservatism has ideas to bring to the table, to add to the national conversation on this country's needs, priorities, and ideals. But good grief what is this party doing to conservatism? If Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Anne Coulter, Mark Sanford, et. al are all it has to offer then so help me I don't want it.

It's wierd; scary wierd. The funny thing is, if liberals were absoultely crazy about someone so incredibly unqualified and unstable, ultra-conservatives would be suspicious that this person was some dubious anti-christ figure who was using powers of evil to secure support.
ReplyDeleteSo what's your take on LA Governor Bobby Jindal? Palin is great with the social conservative base. However, if my party REALLY wants to play ball in 2012, Jindal needs to be the GOP nominee.
ReplyDeletei agree man, I can't figure out what people are thinking. plus that picture is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteshe's just embarrassing. really really ridiculously embarrassing. i don't get it either.
ReplyDeleteJames - Are you James Hall? If so, that is awesome. How's it going, brother? I haven't read nearly enough about Jindal, but I've heard he's a step above the Palin lot. I will definitely have to check out his ideas.
ReplyDeleteDude, I really have to wonder about her language skills. Quite seriously, it almost sounds like she has fluent aphasia (something you get after having a stroke). Her syntax is nonexistant!
ReplyDeleteOut of curiosity, is there anyone out there (GOP or otherwise) that you think has potential to promote conservative ideas?
- Cheryl
I think there are level-headed, forward-thinking conservatives out there. Newt Gingrich, Arnold Schwarzenegger, John McCain, Lindsay Graham, Peggy Noonan come to mind. But as far as a candidate for 2012 goes, I haven't found one yet.
ReplyDeleteArnold S??? Are you kidding? John McCain again? Get real! Lindsay Graham?
ReplyDeleteOne needs to look beyond the fluff that is evident in a lightweight such as Obama to the true character of the candidate. This will determine how they will govern. Character and Truth, Reagan principles and the ability to communicate them.
I am not kidding. What about these folks and Obama do you think portrays a lack of character and truth? Also, may I ask who you are?
