The Unlikely Love Songs of Josh Ritter

I love Josh Ritter's music for the particular narratives — sometimes joyful, sometimes haunting — he weaves in his lyrics. Here are four of his unlikely, moving love songs:

An anthropologist and a re-animated mummy

A nuclear scientist and a soldier in an underground bunker

An explorer and his ship

An extra and a star in a silent movie

  3. Absolutely! I don't think I could pick a favorite. It's between the first two I think.

  4. I played the curse and the temptation of Adam for your sister while we where driving. Her response was something like, "I feel like this is music my brother would love". It's sorta funny.
